The Final Ascent update was only two days old at review. In-game Accolades text and a reproduced unlock outrank any early external list.
Check expedition eligibility
Community wiki documentation says Custom Expeditions disable badges. Reproduce the attempt in a normal expedition before reporting a broken unlock.
Unknown: newly added exceptions may exist, so the live Accolades text and patch notes remain authoritative.
Separate task from completion
Some badges are granted immediately while others are evaluated at a campfire or escape. Use the current badge description to identify when success should be checked.
Read the Scouting Report
Community documentation says the final report lists any newly received badges along with expedition outcome and player information.
Capture the report before starting another run; it is stronger evidence than remembering whether a corner notification appeared.
Report a reproducible case
Include patch version, map date, Ascent, party size, item or action, survival state, and expected badge. Avoid adding a second badge experiment to the same reproduction.
If the criterion came only from an early community post, label the expected result unconfirmed rather than declaring a game defect.
